The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Richard Wood Upper Lake is right by the Ellicott Rock Trail, and a nice close by hotel is The Inn at Half Mile Farm. Yep, outdoors exciting things truly is bountiful here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Norton Creek, and if you need a location to stay Old Edwards Inn and Spa is a good       choice. The Whiteside Mountain National Recreation Trail offers hiking at its best, and there's whitewater on Chattooga River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Laurel Branch is a splendid local stream, and you'll come across a pretty lake called Whiteside Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A great location to camp here at Richard Wood Upper Lake is Ammons Branch Campground; hey, Gotta ski right? Sky Valley is a great place to do that. There's no way                  anybody can get bored here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Shortoff Mountain Trail; the sight of Laurel Knob is stunning. For the duration of the warm months at Richard Wood Upper Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's; the overnight is rather cooler of course, usually in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are usually in the 40's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Richard Wood Upper Lake plunge into the 20's.
