There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Scaly Mountain, and do take a hike on the Ellicott Rock Trail. If you came to camp Ammons Branch Campground is a brilliant site to do that; if you get bored of Richard Wood Upper Lake you could also go to close by Richard Wood Lower Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. A journey       to Cowee Gap is always fun, and The Inn at Half Mile Farm is a good place to get some rest. Richard Wood Upper Lake is a relatively wet place frequently with a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is usually March, that's the one that rains the most, and April is the month with the least moisture. So much fun stuff to do here at Richard Wood Upper Lake, too good to be true. You get a perfect sight of Laurel Knob from Richard Wood Upper Lake; if you need                  a site to stay Old Edwards Inn and Spa is a glorious choice. Get wet paddling on Chattooga River, and Richard Wood Upper Dam is not far at all from Richard Wood Upper Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The Whiteside Mountain National Recreation Trail offers hiking at its best, and golf can be played at High Hampton Inn & Country Club. Paddling on Norton Creek is so much fun, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Shortoff Mountain Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. So much cool stuff to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, too magnificent to be true. Richard Wood Upper Lake is not the only location close by, Hurricane Lake is a close by lake; you can hit the slopes at Sky Valley close by. All year is a glorious time in the Blue Ridge Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. Richard Wood Upper Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Van Hook Glade Campground is a tremendous local campground, and a quick spree to Laurel Branch is certainly a fine idea. High temperatures at Richard Wood Upper Lake through the long summer days are in the 70's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's.
