Ammons Branch flows through this area; a delightful lake like Wildwood Mountain Lake is a great site to have a look at. This lake is so wonderful. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Cowee Gap is a tremendous place to spend some time at, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Whiteside Mountain National Recreation Trail. So much entertaining stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just remarkable. If you need       a place to stay Old Edwards Inn and Spa is a great choice; there's whitewater on Norton Creek for all you adrenaline people. What a site this is for outdoors folks. The vista of delightful Bearpen Mountain near Ravenel Lake is delightful; do visit Cold Springs Saddle Club Lake, it's a scenic lake. The high level of rainfall makes Ravenel Lake a quite wet place; during the month of March you get the most rain around here; the driest month is October. Ravenel Lake                  is right by the Shortoff Mountain Trail, and there's always Ravenel Lake Dam to check out right next door to Ravenel Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Highlands Falls Country Club Pool & Tennis is a golf course right next door to Ravenel Lake; Sky Valley is a very popular ski area close at hand. Ravenel Lake really is in the middle of a striking outdoors paradise. Ravenel Lake is a glorious location to visit for more than one day, Van Hook Glade Campground is a glorious location to camp nearby, and do take a hike on the Ellicott Rock Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You simply have to explore Wildcat Cliffs since you're here at Ravenel Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Cullasaja River. And that's not all there is to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Stay the night at Ammons Branch Campground, and The Inn at Half Mile Farm is a splendid place to get some rest. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Ravenel Lake, and the nighttime is somewhat cooler of course, usually in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and overnight lows at Ravenel Lake through the winter ordinarily descend into the 20's. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
