A pleasant tour to Horse Cove is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon; close by you hit upon the Three Forks Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. The slopes of Scaly Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist; the Whiteside Mountain National Recreation Trail is a great hiking trail close by. What would winter be without some skiing at Sky Valley; you'll meet a lot of folks from       Seneca here. All the outdoors cool stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains will keep you coming back persistently. There's some interesting stuff to see at Mirror Lake Dam in the neighborhood of Ravenel Lake, and a round of golf at nearby Highlands Falls Country Club Pool & Tennis is a great way to kill some time. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Ravenel Lake. There's so much to do here at Ravenel Lake that you need to camp                  here for a while, Van Hook Glade Campground is a good spot for that; dry warm beds await you at Old Edwards Inn and Spa. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. What would a place like Ravenel Lake be without attention-grabbing close by characteristics like Sunset Rock, and a good place to go to is Rich Gap. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Hampton Inn Highlands NC is a wonderful choice. This lake is so wonderful. A beautiful lake like Harris Lake close to Ravenel Lake is a good spot to have a look at, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Cullasaja River. High temperatures at Ravenel Lake during the summer months are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Ravenel Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountains. The peak of Bearpen Mountain can be spotted from Ravenel Lake It's always good to pop by Highlands Falls. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Do check out Mirror Lake in the neighborhood of Ravenel Lake, it's a pretty lake, and if you came to camp Ammons Branch Campground is a brilliant spot to do that. On a nice day at Ravenel Lake you can take a hike along the Shortoff Mountain Trail, and it's a pleasant idea to stop at Ammons Branch.
