     At Cypress Lake Dam next to Rainey Pond there are some exciting things to see, and after a long day outdoors Hampton Inn FayettevilleI95 is a great place to spend a night or two. Rainbow Pond is a perfect lake right next door to Rainey Pond. There's so much to do here at Rainey Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Lazy Acres is a great location for that. A lot of rainfall falls at Rainey Pond; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest  
   of the months is November.
That right there is lots already, but it keeps on going; Rainey Pond has it all. Rainey Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Fayetteville Koa is a fine local campground, and a pleasant close by hotel is Quality Inn Fayetteville. Through the months of summer at Rainey Pond highs are commonly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 50's with
 
               winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Rainey Pond. This lake is so wonderful. People from Fayetteville love to come to Rainey Pond, and as expected Big Sandy Run flows through this vicinity.
A round of golf at nearby Cypress Lakes Golf Course is a magnificent way to kill some time; lakes are such peaceful locations, why not explore McNeill Pond.

I can be reached at, yellowcheeks2001@yahoo.  We just bought a boat and don't know of any good size lakes to go to. If you know of a good spot, let me know....Good Lake for canoeing, but you have to stay near the creeks or geat a membership for 120 or so....

Smith lake is a nice place to camp, bike ride and swim. I have 3 young children and they had a BLAST! We plan on going again very soon. Bathrooms were clean and out of some of the campsites I've been to this is the one I like....Nice area for hiking, running, mt biking.  Also nice beach area for the summer....
