Rainbow Lake is a beautiful lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you came to camp Gwynn Valley is a nice place to do that; paddling on French Broad River - North Fork is so much fun. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Rainbow Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Art Loeb Trail, and Rodeway Inn Brevard is a glorious spot to get some rest. There's so much to       do here at Rainbow Lake that you need to camp here for a while, our 100 Acre Woods - Primitive Campground is a good place for that, and if you've had enough of Rainbow Lake, Lora Young Lake is nearby. The Mullinax Trail offers hiking at its best, and of course, A visit to Wallace Gap is always fun. This lake is so wonderful. There's some attention-grabbing stuff to spot at Lake Wanteska Dam close to Rainbow Lake, and it's a great idea to check out Boring Creek.                  So many cool things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains, not sufficient time. Whitewater paddling is fine on French Broad River - East Fork; there's good hiking along the Black Mountain Trail. Any time is a perfect time at Rainbow Lake if you like the outdoors. Crawford Mountain is simple to spot from Rainbow Lake; you'll meet a lot of people from Brevard here. Rainbow Lake regularly gets much rainfall; through the month of March you get the most rain around here while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Through the summertime at Rainbow Lake highs are regularly in the 80's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's while Rainbow Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. This place, the Blue Ridge Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining things.
