Potato Hill Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. So many amusing things in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just impressive. Hiking along the Daniel Boone Scout Trail is glorious fun, and Vanderpool Campgrounds is a perfect local campground. Visit Jones Branch while you're here at Potato Hill Lake; why not head up to Hawksnest and strap some skis to your feet. All through the summertime, highs commonly are in the 70's at Potato Hill Lake.

| | Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Potato Hill Lake. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Potato Hill Lake, you could also have a look at scenic Different Drum Lake, and dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn & Suites Boone. lake called A S U Lake near Potato Hill Lake, and Potato Hill Lake is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Appalachian Campground is a fine place to camp nearby. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Potato Hill
Lake. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Watauga River, and Salt Rock Gap is around here, and is a magnificent place. And that's not all the things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Boone Golf Club is nearby, and if you need a spot to stay Highland Hills Cabins - A Master Hosts Resort is a perfect choice. A lot of rainfall falls at Potato Hill Lake; the
wettest month of the year is generally May, that's the one that rains the most while December is mostly the driest month. Be careful coming to Potato Hill Lake, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Have a good hiking adventure along the Yancey Ridge Trail. Potato Hill Lake is one of the lakes here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
