This is a great area for folks who like lakes. Honkers Hollow Lake is a lake nearby; a nice nearby hotel is Quality Inn Kernersville. Summertime highs at Pope Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Pope Lake temperatures descend to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
