This lake is so wonderful. A fine place for whitewater paddling near Pineview Lake is Dan River; if you need a place to stay Courtyard By Marriott Winston Salem/University is a great choice. is a splendid local campground. Pineview Lake is a reasonably wet place generally with much rainfall; during March this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is November. Through the long summer days at Pineview Lake temperatures
are ordinarily in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Pineview Lake. Do check out Dalton Pond next to Pineview
Lake, it's a lovely lake, and going for a hike on the Cascade Trail is always a glorious adventure. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Fivemile Branch is a stream you can have a look at while you're here,
and if you're here you can play some golf at Reynolds Park Golf Course. Near Pineview Lake you hit upon the Hanging Rock Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail; Pineview Lake is not far at all from Winston-Salem.

 | 13 miles away Hwy 772 access as been roped off with No-Trespassing signs. This access is used a lot during the summer months, but evidently it is private property or someone is confused.
Thought I'd let you know this since it's only a few miles from my house. That's a nice place to get in the river, but evidently somebody don't like the general public to use it. ... |
