If only every location had this much outdoors cool things, what a great world it would be. Bradley Creek is a charming stream that is worth taking a look at; there are some fine whitewater spots on Davidson River. Pierce Lake is not far at all from Asheville, and there's whitewater on Little River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Pierce Lake is a pretty wet place generally with a great deal of precipitation; most of the       rain falls through March, and the driest of the months is October. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Ski Beech is one of those things you just must do, and don't leave Pierce Lake without first going for a hike along the Mullinax Trail. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Pierce Lake.
