Near Peus Pond you hit upon a golf course called Raleigh Country Club, and not far from Peus Pond you'll locate Beaman Lake which is a picturesque lake. Summertime highs at Peus Pond regularly tend to be in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. This lake is so wonderful. Quality Inn North is a good site to get some rest; obviously Bridges Branch is a gorgeous stream
that is worth visiting. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Peus Pond rules! If you need a spot to stay Wingate by Wyndham - Raleigh is a perfect choice, and get wet paddling on Neuse River.
