You'll need more than a day to explore everything Perry Pond has to offer, you can camp at Champion Cheerleading Camps, of course you could also explore Poole Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. A good deal of rainfall falls at Perry Pond; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and April is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Throughout the winter the highs are commonly in the 40's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Perry Pond tend to be in the 20's.

Beaverdam Lake

Beaverdam Lake is really a part of Falls Lake. It is approximately fifteen minutes north of the I-540 beltway on Highway 50. Beaverdam Lake is separated from the main lake by a partial dam and bridge. It is approximately 500 acres in size.
Beaverdam Lake is restricted; no gasoline engines are allowed. This makes it a great place for kayaks, canoes, sailboats and electric-motor propelled boats. It has a very nice concrete boat ramp and adjacent dock, and has a very large parking lot. Adjacent to the boat launching ramp is a nice sand beach with floats delineating the swimming area and a small pavilion.
