Pell Lake is a wet spot that gets much rain; through May this area sees the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. Why not stop by Pell Lake Dam since you're here, and Pell Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Moores Springs Campground on the Dan River is a tremendous local campground. For the duration of the summer highs here at Pell Lake reach the 80's while night lows are regularly in the 50's. Daytime       highs through the wintertime are in the 40's; throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Pell Lake temperatures plunge to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Run Trail; whitewater paddling is great on Dan River. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Going for a hike along the Cooks Wall Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and if you came to camp Pioneer Village Family Campground is a perfect place                  to do that. Hiking along the Moores Knob Trail is tremendous fun, and Quality Inn & Suites is a wonderful spot to get some rest.
