Patsy Pond is a wet place that gets much precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July, and October is the month with the least moisture. If you want to hit the beach, Indian Beach is in close proximity, and Havelock-Days Inn is a good place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Salter Path Campgrounds while you're here at Patsy Pond, and while       you're here you can take a hike along the Neusiok Trail. Sanders Creek is near Patsy Pond and is a nice place to check out; if you're popping by from New Bern, you won't be the only one.
