Pate Pond is a spot with many visitors from Rockingham; camping at Pine Lake Campground is always a fine experience. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Pates Lake Number Two, and if you need a location to stay Budgetel Inn Rockingham is a great choice. High temperatures at Pate Pond through the summertime are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and
during the dark hours in the winter at Pate Pond temperatures sink to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Guinns Mill Pond is around here, and dry warm beds await you at Regal Inn.
Kingsbury Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out, also Pate Lake Dam is worth checking out while you're here. And that's not all you can do here at Pate Pond. If you came to camp Long Leaf Pines Oasis is a great place to do that. The high

level of rain makes Pate Pond a rather wet spot; most of the rain falls all through July, and April on the other hand is the driest.
