Banjo Creek RV Resort & Campground is located in Asheboro, NC, home of the NC Zoological Park (The NC Zoo). Also nearby are trail heads of the Uwharrie National Forest, The World Class Potters of Seagrove, and the Uwharrie River.
Banjo Creek Resort features 140 full and partial hook up sites for RVs, and several tent sites as well. The Little River runs along one side of the park, and walking trails are throughout our 33 acres. We also have a stocked fishing pond. Other amenities include a Jumping Pillow, a swimming pool, a kiddie pool, miniature golf, community campfires, a 2800 sq. Ft. Deck at the lodge (for dances and other music events), Country Store, game room, WiFi, weekend activities, and on Saturday mornings we have ''The Best Breakfast in Camping. ''

Uwharrie River

...June 09 with another adult and four boys, (six in all) with three canoes. The water was way high flowing over the bridge at Low River bridge on SR 1301, our putin point. With the water that high the current was swift with a lot of low lying trees dwarfing the banks. We no sooner put in and the second canoe got caught in the current and capsized. We in the third were unable to upright it before it became lodged between two trees with the current making it impossible to free it. We were able to recover the two boys and rejoin with the first canoe which had continued on downstream. Long and short of our adventure we all made it to Morrow Mtn State Park in about 5 hours time in two canoes (11:30 AM - 4:30 PM). We stayed to the center of the river as much as possible and negotiated the rapids without mishap. It was very unpredictable with alot of unsuspecting trees in the middle of the river (sumerged islands). We then returned to Low River Bridge to recover the lost canoe.
