North Carolina has many beautiful lakes and Parkwood Lake is one of them. During the summer at Parkwood Lake highs are typically in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Parkwood Lake are in the 20's. Durham is a good site to get some rest; don't forget to take a glorious little tour to Buck Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Parkwood Lake is a wet place that gets a good deal of rainfall; during the month of July you get the
most rain around here, and April is when it's the driest. You can run the rapids of New Hope Creek in the neighborhood of Parkwood Lake, and a nice place to camp here at Parkwood Lake is Dream Camps.
