Paitts Lake is a relatively wet place mostly with much rainfall; July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is November. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Paitts Lake. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Paitts Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Select       Winston-Salem-Univ Pkwy, Nc is a wonderful choice, and Speas Lakes is a delightful lake close by. While you're here at Paitts Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Winston-Salem; going for a hike on the Cascade Trail is always a magnificent adventure. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Big Creek. There is a wonderful hiking trail close to Paitts Lake called the Cooks Wall Trail, and in the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always                  go whitewater paddling on Dan River. What a site this is for outdoors people. Near Paitts Lake you find the Moores Knob Trail which is a splendid hiking trail, and playing golf is lots of fun at Grandview Golf Club. Camping at Jomeokee Campground is always a magnificent experience, also Piatts Lake Dam is worth going to since you're here. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Winston-Salem; unsurprisingly Barkers Creek flows through this region. This lake is so wonderful.
