Good hiking is available along the Cascade Trail, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Barkers Creek. At Paitts Lake all through the days of summer highs are in the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 40's with temperatures       at Paitts Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Glide down the rapids of Big Creek in a kayak. There are splendid places to look at along the Cooks Wall Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Serenity Stables and Campground is a brilliant place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Moores Knob Trail, and there are plenty of folks from Winston-Salem here. Now, you may assume that's loads but there's even more entertaining                  stuff to do here at Paitts Lake. Paddling on Dan River is so much fun; why not camp at Jomeokee Campground since you're here at Paitts Lake. Do check out Speas Lakes in the neighborhood of Paitts Lake, it's a pretty lake, and for you golfers we recommend close by Grandview Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Mallard Lake Upper is a nearby lake that you could take a look at; a glorious close by hotel is Comfort Inn Winston-Salem.
