Darling's By The Sea is a delightful place to get some rest, and you can stay the night at Carolina Beach Campground. A large amount of rain falls at Orton Pond; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and April meanwhile is the driest month. People from Wilmington love to come to Orton Pond, and swamps can be such out of the ordinary sites, check out Big Bay       while you're here at Orton Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Orton Pond, you could also go to nearby Sampson Pond. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Orton Pond has to offer, you can camp at Woodside Campground. Summertime highs at Orton Pond generally tend to be in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's, and night lows through the winter for Orton                  Pond tend to be in the 30's. Orton Point is in close proximity to Orton Pond and is a glorious place to go to, and do check out Liliput Creek while you're here at Orton Pond. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site.
