    It's always fun to stop by Oconaluftee Lake. You're in all probability interested in lakes, Tuc-a-way Lake is one of those nearby. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Oconaluftee Lake has to offer, you can camp at Smoky Trails Camp Ground. This lake is so wonderful. If you haven’t been to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, you must schedule some time for it while you're here, and Battle Cove is undeniably a glorious spot to pop by. All the outdoors  
   cool stuff in the Great Smoky Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly. Tuckasegee River has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by; Oconaluftee Lake is a brilliant place to camp, Hide-a-way Campground is a brilliant place.
If only every spot had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great globe it would be. After a long day outdoors Ramada Limited Cherokee is a good site to spend a night or two; hey, Connelly Creek is a perfect local
 
               stream. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do in the vicinity of Oconaluftee Lake. Yeah, come up here to the Great Smoky Mountains for a perfect time. On a great day at Oconaluftee Lake you can take a hike along the Tsali Horse Trail, and don't leave Oconaluftee Lake without first checking out Nick Bottom.
Through the warm months at Oconaluftee Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and overnight lows at Oconaluftee Lake through the wintertime commonly sink into the 20's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Great Smoky Mountains. The skiing at Ober Gatlinburg is brilliant, and going for a hike on the Sugarland Mountain Trail is always a delightful adventure.
Oconaluftee Lake is a quite wet place usually with a lot of rainfall; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is October. Everybody close by loves skiing at Cataloochee, and paddling on Deep Creek is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail in close proximity to Oconaluftee Lake called the Wesser Creek Trail; Comfort Inn Cherokee is a brilliant spot to get some rest.
