     After a long day outdoors The Sanderling Resort and Spa is a fine place to spend a night or two, and Oak Pond is a brilliant place to visit for more than one day, Sandy Point Resort is a brilliant place to camp nearby. All the outdoors enjoyable things close to Oak Pond will keep you coming back again and again. The peak of Luark Hill can be observed from Oak Pond, and there's wonderful hiking along the Jeep Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Oak  
   Pond a wet site; through July this area sees the most rain while November is usually the driest month. Through the months of summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at Oak Pond, and the overnight is a tad cooler of course, commonly in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Oak Pond.
A magnificent nearby hotel is Hampton Inn Suites Outer BanksCorolla, and there's some flowing water nearby, Old Currituck Inlet
 
               is a stream you can check out while here. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Indian Pond is in close proximity, and Currituck Beach is a pretty beach to take a look at.
Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Great Beach Pond. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Oak Pond has to offer, you can camp at Bay Haven Camp.
