This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant close by hotel is Econo Lodge Kenly; camping at Rock Ridge Campground is always a great experience. So many amusing things to do at Newson Millpond, so little time. The high level of rain makes Newson Millpond a quite wet site; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is April. Do visit Sasser Millpond       close to Newson Millpond, it's a picturesque lake; of course Robin Swamp flows through this area. A fine spot to camp here at Newson Millpond is Kamper's Lodge Of America, and Kenly-Days Inn is a tremendous place to get some rest. High temperatures at Newson Millpond all through the months of summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Newson                  Millpond.
