Do stop by Nantahala Lake while you're in this part of North Carolina. This lake is located in the wonderful Great Smoky Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. You can catch a glimpse of Beech Cove Knob from Nantahala Lake, and if you need a location to stay Ramada Inn Lake Chatuge Lodge Hiawasee is a great choice. A great spot to stop at close to Nantahala Lake is Lambert Cove, and do visit Appletree Branch if you're here at Nantahala Lake.

Nantahala Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly July, that's the one that rains the most,
and October is the month with the least moisture. That right there is a heap of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Great Smoky Mountains has it all. If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go
whitewater paddling on Nantahala River, and dry warm beds await you at Nantahala Cabins. Through the summertime months at Nantahala Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Nantahala Lake drop into the 20's.
Hiking along the CHoga Trail is perfect fun; camping is available at Appletree Campground.
