This place, the Great Smoky Mountains, has so much outdoors cool stuff. On a delightful day at Nantahala Lake you can take a hike along the Wesser Creek Trail, and hey, Appletree Branch is a perfect local stream. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Chatuge Mountain Inn is a splendid location to spend a night or two. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Great       Smoky Mountains. Soar down the rapids of Nantahala River in a kayak; you can have a glorious hiking adventure along the Thorn Mountain Trail. So much exciting stuff to do at Nantahala Lake, so little time. Why not visit Nantahala Dam since you're here, and at Nantahala Lake you can distinguish Beech Cove Knob. The Great Smoky Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on Whiteoak Creek, and a perfect nearby hotel is                  Nantahala Inn. Nantahala Lake is close to Lambert Cove which is definitely worth taking a look at, and camping is available at Rocky water Campground. While you're here at Nantahala Lake you can take a hike along the CHoga Trail, and camping at Appletree Campground is always a great experience. Nantahala Lake is a relatively wet place commonly with a lot of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually July, that's the one that rains the most; October is the month with the least moisture. At Nantahala Lake during the long summer days highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 60's.
