Drift down the rapids of Dan River in a kayak, and a pleasant close by hotel is Winston Motel. Brushy Fork is near Myers Pond and is always a joy to go to. Myers Pond is a rather wet place usually with a great deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout March; the driest of the months is November. Good hiking is available along the Cooks Wall Trail, and Salem Lake Dam is a place that is near Myers Pond. Piedmont       Quarry is a glorious location to check out, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Reynolds Park Golf Course is in the neighborhood. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Myers Pond; Cascade Trail is a great local trail; of course, this is a great area for folks who like lakes, Salem Lake is a lake close at hand. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Myers Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Tanglewood Family                  Resort is a perfect place for that, and after a long day outdoors Myer Lee Motel is a good place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Yadkin River offers some brilliant whitewater, and if you're dropping by from Winston-Salem, you won't be the only one. Throughout the summer months here at Myers Pond, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's with night lows in the 60's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Myers Pond are in the 20's. If you go for the outdoors, you'll adore Myers Pond.
