A charming lake like Kings Mountain Reservoir right next door to Moss Lake is a brilliant site to explore, and Kings Branch is a great whitewater spot nearby. The warmest time of the year at Moss Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight       here at Moss Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Shelby here, and if you're here, you could stop at Muddy Fork. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Shelby@Hwy 74, Nc is a great place to spend a night or two; why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Woodbridge Golf Club. If you need a place to stay Shelby Super 8 Motel is a splendid choice. There's so much to do here at Moss Lake that you need                  to camp here for a while, Woodland Park Campground is a great location for that. So many exciting things in the vicinity of Moss Lake, truly astonishing. Moss Lake is close to Moss Dam which is a striking place beyond doubt worth a visit. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Moss Lake has to offer, you can camp at Kings Mountain State Park. Moss Lake typically gets a large amount of precipitation; most of the rain falls through August, and November is when it's the driest.
