Morgan Pond gets much water; the month with most of the rain is July; February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Morgan Pond is not the only location close by, Walls Lakes is a close by lake, and you can go for a hike on the Cooks Wall Trail.       This lake is so wonderful. Take a side spree to Ader Creek, and great hiking is available along the Cascade Trail. Paddling on Dan River is so much fun. There's so much to do here at Morgan Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Humphrey's Ridge Camp is a perfect spot for that. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Stonewall Golf Course is in close proximity, and dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Coliseum. Waggoner Lake is in the vicinity, and you can take a little journey to Town Fork Creek Watershed Dam Number Five while you're here at Morgan Pond.
