Go to Morgan Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. Through the long summer days highs here at Morgan Pond get into the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Morgan Pond drop into the 20's. Morgan Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Sunset Park Campground is a good local campground, and paddling on Dan River

| | is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is splendid here at Morgan Pond, you can go for a hike along the Hanging Rock Trail, and whitewater paddling is nice on Dan River. On a delightful day at Morgan Pond you can take a hike along the Cooks Wall Trail, and why not pop by nearby Ader Creek if you're here at Morgan Pond. A tremendous close by hotel is Comfort Inn, and since you're here you can play some golf at Stonewall Golf Course. | |

Morgan Pond gets a lot of water; all through the month of July you get the most rain around here while February is typically the driest month. Be careful coming to Morgan Pond, you might not ever want to go back home again. Do explore
Lake Woussicket in the vicinity of Morgan Pond, it's a beautiful lake, and camping at Humphrey's Ridge Camp is always a brilliant experience. There is a fine hiking trail in the neighborhood of Morgan Pond called the Cascade Trail,
and during your visit here you'll meet some people from Winston-Salem for sure. This lake is so wonderful. Days Inn is a fine place to get some rest, and there's always Town Fork Creek Watershed Dam Number Five to go to in the neighborhood of Morgan Pond.
