Do stop by Morgan Lake while you're in this part of North Carolina. During the summer months here at Morgan Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 40's while Morgan Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Morgan Dam is a wonderful spot close to Morgan Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Marion Days Inn. So many enjoyable things

Morgan Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Tom Johnson Camping Center Rally Park is a good location for that, and Comfort Inn Marion is a good spot to get some rest.
This place, Morgan Lake, it just has so much outdoors
fun stuff. Lakes? Sure, Lake Tahoma is in the neighborhood, and going for a hike on the Bald Mountain Trail is always a wonderful adventure. The peak of Bald Mountain can be seen from Morgan Lake; whitewater paddling is great on Catawba
River. Morgan Lake is a pretty wet place mostly with lots of rainfall; through March this area sees the most rain while December is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
