So many cool things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains, not sufficient time. Lake Tahoma is a nearby lake that you could take a look at; if you need a place to stay Marion Days Inn is a good choice. Why not check out Morgan Dam since you're here; needless to say Nix Creek flows through this area. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Morgan Lake you can take a hike along the       Bald Mountain Trail; Bald Mountain is clearly visible from Morgan Lake. So much entertaining stuff near Morgan Lake, completely tremendous. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Catawba River; after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Marion is a great site to spend a night or two. If you get bored of Morgan Lake, you could also check out nearby Yancey Pond; you can stay the night at Buck Creek Campgrounds. Throughout                  the summer at Morgan Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 50's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 40's while Morgan Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. Morgan Lake is a beautiful lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. A great deal of precipitation falls at Morgan Lake; most of the rain falls during March; December on the other hand is the driest. This place, the Blue Ridge Mountains, has so much outdoors cool things. There's whitewater on Catawba River - North Fork for all you adrenaline people.
