This lake is so wonderful. Summertime highs at Morgan Lake usually tend to be in the 80's, and the nighttime is rather chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Morgan Lake. A large amount of rain falls at Morgan Lake; March is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is December. Stay the night       at Tom Johnson Camping Center Rally Park; there is a delightful hiking trail close by called the Bald Mountain Trail. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Morgan Lake. Morgan Lake is a glorious site to visit for more than one day, Buck Creek Campgrounds is a glorious site to camp nearby, and a lake close by is Yancey Pond. And that's not all the things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The top of Bald Mountain is easily distinguished                  from Morgan Lake, and Lake Tahoma is a nearby lake that you could stop at. You don’t have to go far from Morgan Lake to distinguish the water at Morgan Dam, and a perfect nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Marion. This lake is so wonderful. Nix Creek is a splendid local stream, and Catawba River is a splendid whitewater spot close by. Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
