Why not camp at Pine Mountain Campground if you're here at Moretz Lake, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Hickory Red Roof Inn. So many exciting things to do at Moretz Lake, so little time. A brilliant location to camp here at Moretz Lake is Lake Hickory RV Resort; the peak of Sal Teague Hill can be seen from Moretz Lake. Man, is there a heap of exciting stuff to do in the Blue Ridge       Mountains. There are other places here than Moretz Lake, for example Fox Lake; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Elk Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful spots, why not take a look at Rink Lake next to Moretz Lake, and while you're here you can play some golf at River Crest Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Take a little journey to Jumping Run while you're here at Moretz Lake. If you                  need a place to stay Park Inn Hickory is a brilliant choice, and there's whitewater on Yadkin River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Moretz Lake is a wet place that gets a large amount of rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. At Moretz Dam in the neighborhood of Moretz Lake there are some out of the ordinary things to see; if you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Hickory-Morganton-Lenoir. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Throughout the summer at Moretz Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's.
