This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Neuse River is so much fun, and if you're here and you like golf, you can have a look at Heritage Golf Club. High temperatures at Moores Pond during the warmest time of the year are in the 80's. | |

 | 11 miles away Beaverdam Lake is really a part of Falls Lake. It is approximately fifteen minutes north of the I-540 beltway on Highway 50. Beaverdam Lake is separated from the main lake by a partial dam and bridge. It is approximately 500 acres in size.
Beaverdam Lake is restricted; no gasoline engines are allowed. This makes it a great place for kayaks, canoes, sailboats and electric-motor propelled boats. It has a very nice concrete boat ramp and adjacent dock, and has a very large parking lot.
