Paramount's Carowinds Campground is a nice local campground. Moore Lake gets a good deal of water; through March this area sees the most rain while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Very fine water scenery
is available at Moore Lake Dam next to Moore Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Courtyard By Marriott Charlotte Airport. During your tour to Moore Lake you'll meet some folks from Charlotte-Gastonia-Concord for sure, and if you've had enough of Moore Lake, Maynard Lake is close by.
