There are other spots here than Moore Lake, for example City Pond, and Moore Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Norwood Camping Resort is a fine local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Jameson Inn Cheraw is a perfect place to get some rest. Lakes? Sure, Wadesboro Municipal Lake is in the       vicinity. Why not stop by Moore Lake Dam since you're here; a quick visit to Lampley Branch is absolutely a good idea. That right there is lots already, but it continues; Moore Lake has it all. You can run the rapids of Rocky River close to Moore Lake. Much rainfall falls at Moore Lake; July is when you get the most rain here, and April on the other hand is the driest. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Moore Lake, and through summer                  nights temperatures are in the 60's.
