Camping at Contentnea Creek RV and Trail Park is always a perfect experience, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Harris Millpond. After a long day outdoors Microtel Inn and Suites is a wonderful place to spend a night or two, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can have a look at Monts Pond Dam. Monks Pond is great enough to spend       more than a day at, Contentea Campground is a great local campground; lots of people from Greenville come here. For the duration of the summer months at Monks Pond highs are usually in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's while Monks Pond overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 20's.
