There's great hiking along the Mullinax Trail; while you're here, you could have a look at Brackens Creek. All year is a nice time in the Blue Ridge Mountains if you like the outdoors. You might want to pay a visit to Chestnut Gap while you're here at Mitchums Lake; in close proximity to Mitchums Lake you locate a golf course called Connestee Falls Golf Club. The warmest time of the year at Mitchums Lake arrives with high       temperatures in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Mitchums Lake a wet place; most of the rain falls during March while October is frequently the driest month. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll like Mitchums Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Davidson River; the Art Loeb Trail offers hiking at its best. So much cool stuff to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, too nice to be true. You get a good view of Burl Mountain from Mitchums Lake, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Brevard, Nc is a fine place to spend a night or two. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. You could also check out Brevard Music Center Lake while you're here at Mitchums Lake; it's close by; Camp Carolina is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful.
