The beauty of Mitchells Pond is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Winston Salem-Days Inn North is a good site to get some rest, and hiking along the Hanging Rock Trail is nice fun. At Mitchells Pond during the summer months highs are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Mitchells Pond.

| | is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Dan River, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Cascade Trail. A golf course near Mitchells Pond is Hemlock Golf Course, and going for a hike along the Cooks Wall Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. A good place to camp here at Mitchells Pond is Sunset Park Campground, and you'll meet a lot of people from Martinsville here.

here at Mitchells Pond, and Mitchells Pond Lower Dam has tremendous water scenery. The high level of precipitation makes Mitchells Pond a reasonably wet location; the wettest month of the year is generally September, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is January.
