That right there is loads already, but it keeps on going; Mitchells Pond has it all. Winston Salem-Days Inn North is a wonderful site to get some rest, and going for a hike on the Cascade Trail is always a perfect adventure. You're sure to come across some great people from Martinsville here, and a perfect nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Winston-Salem. This lake is so wonderful. A golf course close       to Mitchells Pond is Hemlock Golf Course; don't forget to take a glorious little visit to Baker Branch. Mitchells Pond gets a good deal of water; the wettest month of the year is usually September, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is January. Camping is available at Hanging Rock State Park, and glide down the rapids of Dan River in a kayak. A delightful site to camp here at Mitchells Pond is Sunset Park Campground, and nearby                  you come across the Hanging Rock Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Mitchells Pond, you could also take a look at beautiful Camelot Woods Lake, and Mitchells Pond Lower Dam is not far at all from Mitchells Pond. Go for a hike on the Cooks Wall Trail, and Scott Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to. During the summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Mitchells Pond. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's.
