You could also pop by Smith Lake while you're here at Mitchells Pond; it's nearby; the Group Camp Trail
offers hiking at its best. Mitchells Pond is a quite wet place generally with a large amount of rainfall; July is the month that gets the most rain, and November on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Sleep Inn ,Inn & Suites; get yourself into a kayak and hit Cape Fear.
