High temperatures at Mitchell Pond during the summertime are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. During the wintertime highs are frequently in the 40's, and night lows at Mitchell Pond all through the winter typically dip into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Mitchell Pond is tremendous fun, Camptown RV is a tremendous local campground, and some of the       water close by flows, like Cedar Fork. If you need a site to stay Franklin's Inn is a good choice; the good folks of Raleigh-Cary like to hang out close by. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do close to Mitchell Pond. After a long day outdoors Country Hearth Inn Knightdale is a great place to spend a night or two. Mitchell Pond mostly gets a great deal of rain; through August this area sees the most rain, and April is the month with the least moisture.                  If you're interested in hydro structures, you can take a look at Mitchell Pond Dam; get dripping wet paddling on Neuse River.
