Why not stop by Mint Lake if you're passing through these parts. Just can't get enough of Mint Lake. A magnificent site close to Mint Lake is Locust Tree Gap; get dripping wet paddling on Little Tennessee River. Now, you may think that's heaps but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hiking along the Rartram Trail is glorious fun, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Scaly Mountain is quite near. This lake is located in

For you golfers we recommend nearby Mill Creek Country Club, and going for a hike along the Rufus Morgan Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. Mint Lake typically gets lots of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is March; the driest of the months is October. Summertime highs at Mint Lake typically tend to be in the 80's. temperatures sink down into the 60's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Mint Lake. So much exciting stuff to do at Mint Lake, so little time. Microtel Inn Franklin is
a good place to get some rest; getting to Lenoir Branch from Mint Lake is painless. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can have a look at Mint Lake Dam; a brilliant close by hotel is Carolina Motel. Whitewater paddling
is tremendous on Cartoogechaye River; a day on the slopes of Sky Valley is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Cartoogechaye Creek is always a nice experience, and since you're here you can take a hike along
the Hurricane Creek Trail. And if that's not enough there's a lot more cool things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. If you came to camp Pines RV Park and Cabins is a splendid place to do that, and at Mint Lake you can make out Bruce Knob.
