Camping is available at New Point Campground; do visit Montgomerys Millpond, it's a striking lake. Deep Creek Millpond Dam has good water scenery and it's right next door to Mill Pond, and a striking lake like Farmers Chemical Assoc Lake is a splendid place to stop at. Much rain falls at Mill Pond; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and November       is when it's the driest. Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Mill Pond. For the duration of the warm months at Mill Pond temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Mill Pond. A delightful spot to camp here at Mill Pond is Chowan River Resort, and Comfort Inn Franklin is a good                  spot to get some rest.
