Lakes are brilliant; Southern Pines Waterworks is a lake that's close to Mid Pines Lake. All through the months of summer at Mid Pines Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's; night lows in the 20's for Mid Pines Lake. Mid Pines Lake Dam is worth a visit while you're here. There's whitewater on Little       River for all you adrenaline people, and if you need a site to stay Mid Pines Inn & Golf Club is a perfect choice. There's so much to do here at Mid Pines Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Heritage Camping and Recreation is a fine spot for that, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Deep River. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Pine Lake Campground is a magnificent place to do that, and after                  a long day outdoors Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club is a great spot to spend a night or two. Yep, outdoors fun stuff to do are beyond doubt bountiful here at Mid Pines Lake. Hyland Hills Golf & Country Club is a nice golf course nearby, and not far from Mid Pines Lake you'll come across Warrior Lake which is a lovely lake.
