If you are in Jackson county it's always a good idea to stop by Meadow Lake. While you're here at Meadow Lake you will meet lots of people from nearby Brevard; a good nearby hotel is Sapphire Valley Resort. This lake is so wonderful. Red Bird Golf Links is a perfect golf course close by, and you can stay the night at Wolf Creek Overlook. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the Blue Ridge Mountains has to offer. You can run the rapids

| | of Tuckasegee River in close proximity to Meadow Lake, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Foothills Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors High Hampton Inn & Country Clb. is a great site to spend a night or two, and nearby Boneyard Gap is a glorious location to go. driest. Having a good time at Meadow Lake is painless. A short journey to Fairfield Falls is always worthwhile, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Scaly Mountain.
An interesting thing to take a
look at next to Meadow Lake is Meadow Lake Dam, and a lake nearby is Fairfield Lake. Summertime highs at Meadow Lake generally tend to be in the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are regularly
in the 40's, and overnight lows at Meadow Lake all through the winter usually dip into the 20's. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! The Blue Ridge Mountains rocks! Meadow Lake is a good site to camp, Westridge is a good site;
if you're here, you could check out Little Hogback Creek.
Get your heart beating on the splendid whitewater of Whitewater River, and the Whiteside Mountain National Recreation Trail is a fine hiking trail close by. So much fun
stuff in close proximity to Meadow Lake, just astonishing. The top of Bald Rock Mountain is easily spotted from Meadow Lake. Meadow Lake is a beautiful lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
