Throughout the summertime months at McWhirter Lake highs are regularly in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs through the winter are usually in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at McWhirter Lake descend into the 20's. McWhirter Lake commonly gets lots of rainfall; throughout the month of March you get the most rain around       here while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A brilliant place to camp here at McWhirter Lake is Paramount's Carowinds Campground; don't forget to take a great little spree to Stevens Creek. Country Inn And Suites By Carlson Matthews is a fine place to get some rest, and why not camp at Cane Creek Park since you're here at McWhirter Lake. After a long day outdoors Microtel Charlotte Matthews is a glorious place to spend a night or                  two, and at McWhirter Lake you always meet someone from Charlotte-Gastonia-Concord. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at McWhirter Lake and you like golf, you can pop by Famous Fairways the Indoor Golf Club, and do have a look at Walhill Lake, it's a wonderful lake. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! McWhirter Lake is unbeatable!
