     Verdery Pond is a nearby lake that you could explore, and Verdery Pond Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. This site is excellent, just look at all the exciting things to do near McNeill Pond. There's so much to do here at McNeill Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Fayetteville Koa is a fine spot for that. You'll need more than a day to explore everything McNeill Pond has to offer, you can camp at Lazy Acres. McNeill Pond ordinarily  
   gets a lot of rain; July is the month that gets the most rain; November on the other hand is the driest.
A fine nearby hotel is Quality Inn Fayetteville, and some nearby water includes Kirks Mill Creek. Enjoy a round of golf at Cypress Lakes Golf Course not far from McNeill Pond, and after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Fayetteville is a great site to spend a night or two. Summertime at McNeill Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night
 
               sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's, and night lows in the 20's for McNeill Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. If you're dropping by McNeill Pond from Fayetteville, you won't be the only one; a lake close by is Marsh Wood Lake.

I can be reached at, yellowcheeks2001@yahoo.  We just bought a boat and don't know of any good size lakes to go to. If you know of a good spot, let me know....Good Lake for canoeing, but you have to stay near the creeks or geat a membership for 120 or so....

Smith lake is a nice place to camp, bike ride and swim. I have 3 young children and they had a BLAST! We plan on going again very soon. Bathrooms were clean and out of some of the campsites I've been to this is the one I like....Nice area for hiking, running, mt biking.  Also nice beach area for the summer....
