     If you need a place to stay Days Inn Saint Pauls is a perfect choice, and Juniper Branch is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. During your trip to McNeill Lake you'll meet some people from Lumberton for sure, and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Raeford. So much entertaining stuff to do at McNeill Lake, so little time. McNeill Lake is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, Lazy Acres is a magnificent  
   place to camp nearby, and while you're here, you could also go to charming Hodgins Pond. Sleepy Bear's RV Park is a good campground nearby, and you'll find a lovely lake called Lake McNeill.
While you're here at McNeill Lake you can play some golf at Scothurst Golf Course. A fine place for whitewater paddling near McNeill Lake is Little River, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can go to McNeill Lake Dam. Throughout the days of summer here
 
               at McNeill Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at McNeill Lake dip into the 20's.
McNeill Lake is a wet site that gets a great deal of rain; the month with most of the rain is July while November is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

I can be reached at, yellowcheeks2001@yahoo.  We just bought a boat and don't know of any good size lakes to go to. If you know of a good spot, let me know....Good Lake for canoeing, but you have to stay near the creeks or geat a membership for 120 or so....

Smith lake is a nice place to camp, bike ride and swim. I have 3 young children and they had a BLAST! We plan on going again very soon. Bathrooms were clean and out of some of the campsites I've been to this is the one I like....Nice area for hiking, running, mt biking.  Also nice beach area for the summer....
