The beauty of McNeil Pond attracts many people from all around. If you came for an overnight stay Sleepy Bear's RV Park is a splendid place to camp. At McNeil Pond during the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at McNeil Pond dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Lumberton here,

| | and the scenery at McNeil Pond Dam is gorgeous. Raeford-Days Inn is a good place to get some rest, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Greenbrier Lake. If you need a place to stay Village Inn Motel is a perfect choice, and camping is available at Pine Lake Campground. McNeil Pond is a reasonably wet place ordinarily with a good deal of precipitation; July is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is April.
