At McKellars Pond during the summer months highs are in the 80's, and the nighttime is a bit chillier of course, typically in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and       night lows through the winter for McKellars Pond tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. The Lanier Falls Trail offers hiking at its best. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area in close proximity to McKellars Pond has to offer. Don't leave McKellars Pond without first going for a hike along the Campbell Creek Loop, and you can take a little tour to NC Noname Forty-Five Dam since you're here at McKellars Pond.
