McGee Dam is a lake worth visiting. If you like the outdoors, you'll adore McGee Dam. If you need a site to stay Asheville Days Inn Woodfin is a good choice, and if you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Asheville. This lake is so wonderful. Really good skiing awaits you at Wolf Laurel, and hiking is a popular thing to do around McGee Dam; Whiteoak Flats Trail is a great local trail. Man, is there heaps of enjoyable things to do in the Great Smoky

| | Mountains. There's always McGee Dam to check out right next door to McGee Dam; if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Walnut Creek.

Campground is a magnificent place for that. Summertime highs at McGee Dam commonly tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; night lows in the
20's for McGee Dam. This lake is so wonderful. Kent Hollow is a pleasant spot to look at, and do pay a visit to Blue Ridge Parkway if you're here at McGee Dam.
So much amusing stuff to do here at McGee Dam, too magnificent to
be true. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Ski Beech, and there's nice hiking along the Pounding Mill Trail. McGee Dam is one of the lakes here in the Great Smoky Mountains.
Why not take a refreshing hike
along the Big Creek Trail, and French Broad River has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot nearby. You'll need more than a day to discover everything McGee Dam has to offer, you can camp at French Broad River Campground, and hey,
Bone Camp Creek is a tremendous local stream. The high level of rain makes McGee Dam a quite wet location; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is October.
