    McFayden Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. McFayden Pond is a reasonably wet place mostly with a great deal of precipitation; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and November is the month with the least moisture. You'll stumble on a striking lake called Young Lake near McFayden Pond. There's so much to do here at McFayden Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Fayetteville Koa is a pleasant location  
   for that. NC Noname Eighty-One Dam has magnificent water scenery and it's in the neighborhood of McFayden Pond; in case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cape Fear.
For the duration of the warm months here at McFayden Pond, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout
 
               the wintertime temperatures at McFayden Pond descend into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Sleep Inn ,Inn & Suites is a nice spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Vaughn Hill is clearly visible from McFayden Pond, and hiking is a popular thing to do around McFayden Pond; American Beech Trail is a brilliant local trail.
This location is peerless, just look at all the fun stuff to do close to McFayden Pond. A pleasant nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Spring Lake-Ft. Bragg/Pope Afb, and the Fish Camp Trail offers hiking at its best. There's splendid hiking along the Campbell Creek Loop; Little River is a glorious whitewater spot close by. People from Fayetteville love to come to McFayden Pond. You'll need more than a day to explore everything McFayden Pond has to offer, you can camp at Lazy Acres.
