Go for a hike on the Campbell Creek Loop. There's so much to do here at McFayden Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Lazy Acres is a great spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave McFayden Pond without first going for a hike along the American Beech Trail; McFayden Pond is not far at all       from Fayetteville. McFayden Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is commonly July, that's the one that rains the most; November is the month with the least moisture. If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites SPRING LAKE-FT. BRAGG/POPE AFB is a good choice, and get dripping wet paddling on Cape Fear. Through the summertime at McFayden Pond highs are regularly in the 80's. When the night sets in                  temperatures drop down into the 60's. Through the winter highs are commonly in the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for McFayden Pond. Here at McFayden Pond you can catch a glimpse of Vaughn Hill, and if you came to camp Fayetteville Koa is a good place to do that. Having a great time at McFayden Pond is easy. There's tremendous hiking along the Fish Camp Trail; paddling on Little River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Sleep Inn & Suites.
