NC Noname Eighty-One Dam is worth checking out if you're here, and not far from McFayden Pond you'll locate Lower McKellars Pond which is a scenic lake. Go for a hike on the Campbell Creek Loop. There's so much to do here at McFayden Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Lazy Acres is a great spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave McFayden Pond without first going for a hike along the American Beech Trail; McFayden Pond is not far at all

Koa is a good place to do that. Having a great time at McFayden Pond is easy. There's tremendous hiking along the Fish Camp Trail; paddling on Little River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Sleep Inn & Suites. Lakes are delightful; Young Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to McFayden Pond.

 | I can be reached at, yellowcheeks2001@yahoo. We just bought a boat and don't know of any good size lakes to go to. If you know of a good spot, let me know....Good Lake for canoeing, but you have to stay near the creeks or geat a membership for 120 or so.... |
Smith Lake
 | Smith lake is a nice place to camp, bike ride and swim. I have 3 young children and they had a BLAST! We plan on going again very soon. Bathrooms were clean and out of some of the campsites I've been to this is the one I like....Nice area for hiking, running, mt biking. Also nice beach area for the summer.... |
