Go to Matthews Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Group Camp Trail, and if you need a place to stay Raleigh-Days Inn South is a wonderful choice. At Matthews Lake through the warm months highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 60's. Through the wintertime highs are regularly in the 40's; night lows through the winter for Matthews Lake tend to be in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.

The annual rainfall here at Matthews Lake is about average; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is April. Having a great time at Matthews Lake is uncomplicated.
