At Matt Brooks Lake all through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here       at Matt Brooks Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. There are some nice whitewater spots on First Broad, and a perfect site to camp here at Matt Brooks Lake is Thermal City Gold Mine. If you need a place to stay Days Inn Marion is a perfect choice, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Broad River. Matt Brooks Lake is a wet site that gets lots of rainfall; during the month of March                  you get the most rain around here while January is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn Marion, and camping is available at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park. Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Take a side visit to Buncomb Branch, and while you're here, you could also stop at pretty Structure Number Nineteen Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Bald Mountain Trail is good fun.
