Griffin Lake is a glorious lake in the vicinity of Martin-Marietta Lake, and Martin-Marietta Dam is pretty. Courtyard Hickory is a great site to get some rest, and Pine Mountain Campground is a fine campground nearby. Martin-Marietta Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; throughout July this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful.
