Martin Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Humphrey's Ridge Camp is a good site to camp nearby; a lake close by is Barricks Lake. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things at Martin Lake. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Dan River; after a long day outdoors Crestwood Suites - Greensboro-Airport is a good spot to spend a night or two. | | also visit Hillside Lake since you're here at Martin Lake; it's close by, and there are plenty of people from Greensboro-High Point here at Martin Lake. Much rainfall falls at Martin Lake; July is the wettest month with most rain; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Brush Creek near Martin Lake is a splendid idea; you can take a little tour to Martin Lake Dam while you're here at Martin Lake. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Martin Lake, and through summer nights temperatures
are in the 60's. Highs throughout the wintertime are frequently in the 40's while Martin Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. Reedy Fork Creek is a great whitewater spot near Martin Lake, and if you're here you can play some golf at Longview Golf Course.

 | 19 miles away Hwy 772 access as been roped off with No-Trespassing signs. This access is used a lot during the summer months, but evidently it is private property or someone is confused.
Thought I'd let you know this since it's only a few miles from my house. That's a nice place to get in the river, but evidently somebody don't like the general public to use it. ... |
